Wedding Venue: Mountain Home Inn Happy Anniversary Sarah and ...
About the venue
Every couple has to decide: ‘do we pull out all the stops and plan the traditional celebratory wedding gala, or do we keep things small, intimate, and personal?’ If you dream of the latter, get your keys, put the top down, and take a drive towards Mill Valley to check out The Mountain Home Inn. The panoramic highway is the bridge-way between the mountains and the ocean in Marin County. The Mountain Home Inn is perched on a bluff that is somewhere between Mill Valley and Stinson Beach. The spectacular ocean views to the west and mountain vista’s to the east are simply breathtaking. The soaring Redwoods of Muir Woods are blanketed in a layer of fog; the warmth of the setting sun dances across your face and a sense of calm begins to swell in your mind.
The view and incredible sense of calm are the perfect reason to host your wedding celebration at The Mountain Home Inn. I love an outdoor ceremony on the redwood deck – the facility is ideal for a casual wedding of about 80, or if you are looking for a more formal affair, I’d limit the guest count to somewhere around 60 and every seat has a view to die for. After an intimate ceremony, enjoy appetizers and a splash of champagne offered by the facility’s staff. A small Jazz or Bluegrass ensemble set the scene perfectly as your guests breath in the fresh air and watch the fog slowly creep up the hillside. The facility offers outdoor formal dining or for smaller parties, indoor dining is also available. Menus are custom-designed for each couple and all of your tables, chairs, and major necessities are taken care of on property.

Happy anniversary to Sarah and Daniel from I Do Venues and Andi Hatch! We love this spectacular celebration that Andi shared with us and when we realized the couple’s anniversary was this week, we had to share it immediately. The couple’s style is so perfectly Mill Valley. The casual graphic depicting the Mountain Home Inn, the handwritten font, and the lively blue color are reminiscent of a more simple time. The primary color of “blue jay” works perfectly with the intermittent grey and pops of yellow they have used in the flowers. Andi’s photography is amazing and she has captured the essence of this couple and this place so well. Check out the photo gallery showing the gorgeous interpretation of Muir Woods as the sunlight dapples across the Redwood trees and you look down as the fog envelopes the mountainside. Thanks to Andi for sharing
