Photographer Catherine Hall sets the scene behind this special wedding at the beautiful Thunderbird Lodge.

It was a breathtaking setting as the guests began walking down the hand-built stone walkway at one of Lake Tahoe’s most unique and eclectic venues! Guests were escorted to a complimentary tour of the Thunderbird Lodge; the mysterious mansion with an exterior building for lions, elephants, and secret tunnels for the Rat Packs late night rendezvous.  The ceremony was personal and as delicate to the heart as the bubbles floating from the seated guests, a gift, from the bride and groom.  There wasn’t a dry eye when the cocktail hour began, as guests meandered around the property at their leisure.

Meanwhile, the smell of Mark Estee’s (Moody’s Catering) innovative creations wafted in the air, informing guests about the feast that awaited them. Tahoe’s soft waves against the rocky point was perfect background music between speeches and laughter.  Dinner was followed by ceremonial cake cutting while guests indulged in beautiful homemade cupcakes with small chocolate pinecones adornments.  Music, dancing and laughter then echoed from the Lighthouse Room where the evening concluded.  It was the ending of an amazing day and the beginning of this couple’s extraordinary future!
