I Do Venues On the Road: A Venue Adventure!

Today we want to share with you one of the “funnest” venue adventures we’ve ever had! Okay, I know “funnest” isn’t a word, but I really think that we can make an exception, just while explaining this amazing venue tour!

If you read our Save the Trend feature on out-of-the-box bridal bashes and boutiques, you already know how awesome Blu Bungalow is, and the services they offer! This elite event planning studio in San Francisco has launched the Beyond Blu Bungalow Venue Tours — a brilliant way for brides and wedding vendors to experience a fun-filled day of pampering, food & wine tasting and venue-touring! In turn, creating this truly fantastic venue adventure from brides and grooms-to-be!

Our Rehearsal Dinner Directory Account Manager, Cynthia West, and I were lucky enough to tag along on the Peninsula/South Bay Venue Tour! Once we hopped on board, we were in complete amazement during this memorable day! Our first stop was Classic Party Rentals showcase, a great place to visualize your wedding decor with almost any color palette in the world. We were then venue-bound for three incredible Peninsula venues!

Venues Breakdown

Rosewood Sand Hill:

Our first stop was this gorgeous resort venue in Menlo Park. Rosewood Sand Hill is a show-stopping venue that does nothing less than impress! Ready to greet us with champagne, Todd and the staff at Rosewood Sand Hill were so welcoming as they took us on a behind-the-scenes tour of this clean, modern and comfortable property! We were also surprised by a floral presentation by the beautiful work of Huckleberry Karen and Mango Muse Events!

Thomas Fogarty Winery:

From modern resort to breathtaking winery, we had arrived at our second destination! After a forested drive up to this magical location, we can truly say that the view from the top is definitely worth the drive! This amazing hillside winery is a rustic gem with the greatest views of the entire Bay Area! We stayed to dine for lunch for an incredible meal catered by Thomas John Events, matched with an incredible view! We were blown away by the deliciousness, beauty and relaxation of the entire visit.

La Costanera:

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we headed to a beachside restaurant oozing with cultural flair and nautical beauty. With a wall of windows looking out to the ocean, this beautiful three story restaurant as a ton of great spaces all with an amazing coastal backdrop! We started with a dance lesson by Annemarie Estess of The 8 Count, LLC , a San Francisco dance company that offers fun dance lessons for your wedding! After learning some hip moves, we made our way upstairs to the incredible second-story deck for a picturesque sunset view and a taste of the best Peruvian cuisine!

Cynthia and I very much enjoyed the delicious hors d’oeuvres below — from the Yucca balls to the Anticucho de pollo! It may have been our first time eating at La Costanera, but it definitely won’t be our last!

Heading back to Blu Bungalow after a truly amazing day, (we were all raving in disbelief about what we had tasted, seen and experienced!) we were greeted with gigantic swag bags on our seats when we boarded the bus back to San Francisco! Not to mention a free neck massage with more treats once we had returned. This day was definitely a fun venue adventure to remember, and we will be keeping you posted on the next tours!

Special thanks to Hazel Bourget from Blu Bungalow, Jamie Chang of Mango Muse Events and Suzy Clement Photography for capturing the day!
