About the Venue

This would be the perfect year to have a wedding in Yosemite. With the winter being unseasonably dry, the time available for a Yosemite wedding will be extended. If you have an inkling to explore this option, then make sure you check out the Evergreen Lodge specifically.

The Evergreen Lodge is blessed with a truly magical location. The Lodge is located conveniently along the most direct route to Yosemite from the Bay Area, so there are no excuses allowed for your guests about getting lost. And the lodge is just one mile from Hetch Hetchy and the western entrance to the National Park.

The Lodge is a great spot for the couple trying to plan a real get-out-of-town and get back to nature destination wedding celebration. The Lodge resembles a retreat center, all within a a short walk to the entrance of Yosemite. But make no mistake, there are plenty of activities and eye candy for your guests to enjoy without ever leaving the property. The Lodge is surrounded by Redwood forests, endless meadows of wild flowers, rivers, swimming holes, and incredible vistas where you can breath in all the magnificent beauty of the Yosemite Valley.

Ask the Expert

I love the whimsical and DIY feel of this celebration, but I think one of the best features of this wedding is the couple’s choice of Tinywater Photography to capture every intimate and magical moment. I can’t think of a more appropriate team to capture this fun, eclectic celebration.

Every celebration has a distinctive story to tell and when you add a splash of yourself into the design, your story becomes even more compelling. The personal touches that the bride and groom have infused have not only given their photographer great material to work with, but it really gives the viewer a sense of the couple’s personalities. The sweet kiss in front of the convertible 60′s vintage VW bug and the refreshing sweet green and yellow polka dot garland which enhances the ceremony space, are two such images of distinction.

I Do Venues wants to recognize the talented team of wedding professionals who helped to make this bride’s dream a reality: Photographer – Tinywater Photography, Florist – Natalie Galasso Designs, Cake – Cake Monkey, Catering – Evergreen Lodge, Entertainment – Tracorum.
